Improving E-Commerce Strategy with New Tech

Out with the old and in with the new. Spring cleaning your e-commerce strategy with new pioneering tech.

By Nancy Welsh, Co-Founder of iBUILD Global, Inc.

What more appropriate time has there been than now to implement pioneering collaboration technology to advance our economies?

No, I don’t mean finding tools to improve our ability to communicate—like Zoom and Skype or even Slack—but rather, an entirely new software technology that engages individuals at a point in time within a commercial ‘process.’ What if you could track all the steps of a process, such as brewing a cup of coffee, all the way down to growing, picking, hulling, roasting, and marketing coffee beans?

By making supply chains and transactions visible, end-to-end, this technology brings equality to transactions across the entire value chain of any process, such as the steps to construct a home or sell a crop.

Most platforms have been developed with “matching” technology: a ‘driver’ matches with a ‘rider’ or the owner of a ‘spare room’ matches with a ‘traveler’’; mega-platforms match consumers with ‘click to buy’ goods and services through expansive digital marketplace technology; and every other company has rushed to create their own digital platform silo with enough bells and whistles and family news and business insights to keep customers from straying off onto a competitor’s. We have a world of platforms—hundreds of thousands of them. Social platforms are beginning to integrate e-commerce and e-commerce platforms are beginning to mimic social platforms. There are so many now that consumers are demanding greater collaboration.

So we asked ourselves, why were we all spending so much money to develop such similar technologies? They only result in frustration as consumers become trapped between silos, unable to efficiently carry their data, relationships, and historical purchases between platforms.

The pioneering technology that we are seeking to increase transparency and improve collaboration already exists.

Cloud-based and accessed through an app-enabled platform, iBUILD Global’s integration platform as a service enjoins individuals and businesses to collaborate, real-time, on projects and ‘process’ interactions. Users can exchange documents, request bids, find workers, apply, hire, track time on the job, make payroll, and monitor real-time supply and demand.

Lenders, developers, homeowners, workers, or suppliers: stakeholders across an entire ecosystem are seamlessly tied together through an end-to-end ‘process’ on a single platform. Equal access to a multilateral, dynamically integrated Fintech platform reveals traceability of funds and safe-keeping of historical transactions. While our on-the-ground mobile app Quality Control inputs are geo-tagged to make drill-down data and details instantly visible to administrators overseeing thousands of projects across sectors, our platform can bring transparency to any project, no matter how large or small.

QR codes validate each step of the journey and both individual consumers and b2b customers have access. In response to demand, this new hybrid workspace/marketplace also includes enabling, financially inclusive loan and insurance products for individuals, SMEs and large-scale stakeholders, bringing digital transparency and accountability into a whole new light.
