Meet Cassandra Kelly: A Speaker at Our Upcoming ESGx Event on July 14th
Meet Cassandra Kelly, a global thought leader, a speaker, and coach to leaders both corporate and political. Kelly is also a tech entrepreneur and former CEO, serving as an advisor, board director, and chairperson for some of the world’s more influential organizations.
Kelly has lived and worked everywhere from Africa to Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia. As a result of her worldly experience, she has co-founded Pottinger and CChange. Pottinger is a multiple award-winning global corporate advisory firm that works with leaders to help them solve their most complex problems. CChange accelerates meaningful change by working with influencers to make change happen quickly.
Cassandra’s track record in assisting organizations to embrace new opportunities, challenge the status quo and seize business opportunities placed her on the list of 100 Women of Influence in Australia by the Financial Review/Westpac. In 2015 she was named a US Director to watch and in 2017 Cassandra was named one of Australia’s top 10 Chairs.
As a respected advisor to governments, she worked with the B20/G20 on matters including digitalization, entrepreneurship, health, finance, and growth. She was also appointed as an international expert advisor to China’s One Belt One Road initiative. Reflecting her experience in technology as well as economic development, Cassandra was appointed in 2018 as an inaugural member of the European Union’s Global Tech Panel, alongside other members including the chair of Nokia, President of Microsoft, the Vice President of Google and the President of the World Economic Forum.
Moreover, Kelly is a passionate advocate for helping women connect across industries, from public and private sectors. Investing in female talent is both a passion and a business imperative for Kelly.
Among her other duties, she serves as Chair of the board for one of Australia’s largest central financing authorities, Treasury Corporation of Victoria, is chair of LiveTiles and Her Heart and a director of Pink Hope. Previous directorships include Flight Centre Travel Group.
Kelly graduated from the University of Sydney with a focus on Economics, Finance, and Commercial Law. Her honors year focused on the economics of developing nations.
